Using colour

Ask pupils to take close up images using just one colour - place them together as a collage - would make a wonderful display - a rainbow of colours.
#photographyintheclassroom lots of ideas in my book which is almost finished!!

Street Photography

I love street photography when you can see lots of people and buildings as well as clues to where the photograph was taken. I often use these as discussion starters.

Images as starters

This is an abstract image of a bird in captivity - it could be used at face value but could also be a symbol for any form of feeling trapped - can be used as a literacy or P4C starter. It is one of my images so feel free to use it in your classrooms if you wish.

Tiny Planets

I thought I would try and share some photography based resources on a more regular basis!
Today is a quick win, it's an app called 'Tiny planets' (currently 69p) and does exactly what it says - it turns your image into a tiny planet with just a couple of clicks (takes ages on Photoshop!).

The original photo is below.

Chinese New Year
